Are you a voluntary group or organisation that has heard about social media, but not sure how to get started using it in your work?

Come along to meet with both experienced users and others like yourselves in a friendly and informal atmosphere. You will be able to discuss your specific needs with someone who can steer you in the right direction, helping you think through your strategy and showing you what the best social media applications would be for your specific needs.

We cover Facebook, Twitter, blogging, Flickr, Tumblr and other applications, as well as add-ons that can make the process even simpler.

The George & Dragon will be providing sandwiches and chips to order and, of course, the bar will be open throughout the event!

Free wifi is available in the pub, if you wanted to bring your own laptop, but this is not a requirement, as the "experts" tend to bring their own equipment to demonstrate to you on. A pen a pad would be very useful though, as from experience, there will be a lot of information and ideas you will want to jot down!

The best thing of all: this event is completely free!
