Sefton Social Media Surgery

No upcoming dates

Social media surgeries are informal drop-in sessions where anyone from the voluntary and community sector can come and pick the brains of our 'surgeons' (helpful volunteers who understand the world of Twitter, Facebook and the rest).

Speak to experts and get tips and practical advice about how social media could help your organisation.

So if you don't know your hashtags from your retweets or you want to know how social media could help your organisation, there'll be someone here who can explain things, show you how to get started, unstick you if you've got stuck, or just help you think through why you might use any of these social media tools in the first place.

It's completely free, there's tea and coffee on tap, and you can have a conversation rather than being stuck in a classroom.

Sefton SMS is hosted at the offices of Geni-i who support voluntary and community groups to get online, offering taster sessions, training and low cost web design.

People helping at the surgery are all volunteers giving up their time.

We are always looking for helpful surgeons to get involved and lend a hand - If you'd like to help, just sign up and we will be in touch.

All our surgeons are volunteers giving up their time for nothing, and as such, most are unable to offer further unpaid support outside of the surgeries.

But that's exactly why the surgeries are held every month. You're most welcome to come back again and again, as often as you need to - or to bring along colleagues if you need to spread the social media goodness around your organisation...
