Looking for ways to share your passion for your local community or your interests? Wondering how a group or organisation that you belong to could get their message across to a wider audience? Have a website for your organisation that is difficult or expensive to update?

Know a bit about Social Media and willing to share that knowledge?

Then why not come along to a social media surgery to help out ot to find out how blogs, video clips, photo sharing sites, Facebook, Twitter and other free web tools could help you or your group?

Hosted in an informal setting at the Light House Media Centre, the surgery is particularly aimed at those from community and voluntary groups wanting to learn how to use the social web. Free web tools can help you to organise activities, promote events, raise funds, collect feedback from your participants and keep a record of everything you do.

No boring speeches, no jargon and free!

All of our helpers are volunteers or staff from local organisations who know enough about using social media tools to help someone else. You don’t need any previous knowledge to take part, and there won’t be any lectures. We’ll talk to you one-to-one, listen to what you need and explain things clearly.

Light House Media Centre has welcomed us freely, so please take the opportunity to buy their fantastic coffee and food to say thank you!Come find us in and around Lock Works cafe bar - we're generally the ones with the computers.

Light House Media Centre is located in The Chubb Buildings in Wolverhampton city centre just 2 minutes walk from the rail station and 5 minutes walk from the Metro station and city centre bus stops. Cycle parking is located inside the covered courtyard and free car parking is available adjacent to the building after 6pm.
